staff such as Quality, Maintrol, Planning, Technical Services, Procurement
and stores are co-located within the facility. The Chevron facility also
houses client office accommodation giving on site representatives easy
access to their aircraft.
Under
an aircraft maintenance contract with BAE Systems Asset Management, Chevron
Aircraft Maintenance rationalised the Care and Maintenance Programmes
for the BAE146/RJ Aircraft, recommended enhanced storage methods which
resulted in cost savings and improved serviceability of aircraft in storage
and their subsequent re-entry into service, reducing overall costs for
both the client and Chevron Aircraft Maintenance.
Under existing contracts for third party aircraft maintenance, Chevron
has significantly reduced the planned downtime of BAE146/RJ aircraft undergoing
maintenance at their UK based facility by implementing rigorous programme
management controls which include the pre-planning of all maintenance
activities and contracted requirements, the creation and daily update
of the hangar load programme and manpower resource plan and the pre-loading
of spares required prior to aircraft arrival. The overall result - significant
cost reduction and increased aircraft availability.
The

facilities for Engines and APU’s, Batteries, Upholstery, Composites,
